Sedate or Not to Sedate?

Sedate or Not to Sedate? - Seven Oaks Family and Cosmetic Dentist

Moderate sedation dentistry helps to calm anxious patients. There are a limited number of dentists qualified to administer sedation and practice sedation dentistry in the Tampa Bay area as the procedure is not taught in most graduate programs.

Dr. Daniels of Seven Oaks Family and Cosmetic Dentistry of Wesley Chapel and his team have trained and have much experience in moderate sedation dentistry for patients who will benefit from the practice. Dr. Daniels follows the rules and regulations State Dental Board and American Dental Association Guidelines for the Use of General Anesthesia and Sedation by Dentist Guidelines.

Moderate sedation is a useful tool for dentists in helping patients manage a variety of conditions that make it difficult or impossible for some to undergo certain dental procedures. The sedation allows patients to relax, even rest, and rapidly recover from sedation to return to their daily routine.  Not every patient requires or requests sedation, those who do will receive consultation from the team at Seven Oaks Dentistry of Wesley Chapel. The team will discuss the benefits of sedation and review possible concerns before any sedation treatments begin.
